The Writers of the Universe : Chapter 3 – Downturn

The Writers of the Universe

Stew Stunes

The Writers of the Universe is the first published book by Stew Stunes. The story is a mashup of  and many different genres, often called a bizarre and wild adventure. If you like alternative and slightly off-kilter books than this one is for you. You’ll never read a story like it in this universe.

A New Way To Listen

You can now hear all of my music from past to present on Fanburst. I’ll be organizing all of my music from the very weird beginning till now, over the next couple of days. You’ll get a one stop place to see just how a kid who wanted to play the guitar grows from terrible recordings, to noise that can’t even be called music, to probable proof of mild mental issues and the inability to stop. I love music, I love what I create whether it is “good” or “bad” and I won’t ever not make some sort of noise. So here it is, I hope some of you can appreciate it. I love the noise I make, and I know it won’t reach many but, it just might get to yours, and maybe then more than 1 person (thanks mom!) will understand where the noise is coming from and why I push for more.

Read it Here Folks!

Back after a long hiatus…or WAZZZZZUP as the kiddos say these days.

I’ve decided to serialize my novels right here on this blog by giving all of you direct access to the stories I make. I’ll attempt to organize each individual post onto it’s own separate page so that there will be a nice archive of every chapter for each separate story. Kind of like a web version of a table of contents. It’s all very technical in nature as I’m sure you can understand, kidding…I’m the worst at forced humor over the internet…anyways. I’ll be kicking of the web novelization of The Writers of the Universe very soon. The King’s Challenge to follow and then if all goes as planned, I’ll be able to continue with my next story, although it may take a slightly different form than a regular novel. I want to experiment a little with that one…I’ll let everyone speculate on how it will appear o_0

The King’s Challenge – Out Now!

I am so humbled and excited to present my second novel The King’s Challenge. This book was a beast of burden for me to finish and get out, but I am so proud of the work I have created.

Where the story began

The story of The King’s Challenge came to me while driving to work late one night. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the moon was half new when I got on the highway. At work I had little more than sticky notes and a vague idea of the story I wanted to write. I new that I wanted the moon to play a heavy part in the imagery and beliefs of the people I was writing about and also I wanted to write a story with a female lead. Like many young men that grew up in the 90’s and 00’s I had only ever seen fantasy and adventure stories from the perspective of male characters. It wasn’t until Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra came out that I decided I wanted to see more entertainment with a woman as the main focus of an adventure. I think shows like Avatar and movies like The Hunger Games and others that have recently came out in the past few years have been proving that this is  something a lot of people also want. What they really want is believable characters no matter the setting. So with those two vague ideas I started scrawling a map on some sticky notes.
